NEW YEAR! NEW START! NEW HOPE!

Is anyone’s head spinning as fast as mine?  2011 moved so quickly that I feel as if I have been thrust into a time machine and propelled against my will into the future. Maybe finding that much needed job and completing Tactical Deception, Book Two in my Silent Warrior Series had something to do with the time warp, but I didn’t accomplish most of the things I set out to do in 2011 and wish I could turn back the hands of time so that more of the stories in my heart and in my head could already find life on the page.  This year, I am going to do my best to make that happen.

I am a writer who loves story, no matter the genre and have my heart in the past, present, and the future.  So I hope you get the chance to enjoy all of my novels because they are coming at you in a Big Way in 2012.

First up is new hope for my beloved gothics!  The Mistress of Trevelyan and His Dark Desires (The Trevelyan Series) are now available on Kindle.  Classic mystery and romance set in the demure, but sexy Victorian Age, where women emerged from the confines of culture and society to take control of their lives.  I grew up loving Mary Stewart, Victoria Holt, and Phyllis A. Whitney and love the tale of a romance wrapped up in a murder mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

What Lies Beneath?

Blog posted on The Pink Fuzzy Slipper Writers

Blog written by JL Saint aka Jennifer St. Giles!

The question is one I am sure all of us have asked many times about a number of things. If you are Michelle Pfeiffer then you know a murdering Harrison Ford is lurking beneath the surface of your suburban life. If you are the rock group, Breaking Benjamin, then you’re searching beneath a twisted smile in a Dear Agony Album. If you are a Criminal Minds’ BAU star then you’re deep into the hidden horrors of a killer’s psyche. And LOL if you happen to be in the Highlands with bagpipes then perhaps you are staring at Loch Ness wondering if the legendary monster really lives beneath the murky waves.

Big Thrill Interview From International Thriller Writers

Collateral Damage by J.L. Saint

By Virna DePaul on November 30, 2010 at The Big Thrill

Virna DePaulI interviewed J.L. Saint about her new ebook original, Collateral Damage, a romantic suspense with Samhain Publishing, Ltd. With the world on the edge of war, one wounded Delta Soldier and one desperate woman are at the center of a horrific plot and running for their lives. As they unravel the deceit, they are thrust into a race to save her children and stop a global meltdown into anarchy.

Previous reviews of Saint’s works, which she published under the name Jennifer St. Giles, have routinely commented on her masterful ability to weave suspense and emotion:

St. Giles’s story ripples with tension.”–Publishers Weekly

Raw emotions give way to desperate choices, which adds up to breathless reading pleasure.” –Romantic Times

Sexually charged romance that satisfies whether you’re seeking suspense or passion.” –Romantic Times

Fast paced, full of mystery, and…danger. I couldn’t put the book down.” —A Romance Review.com

I’m Still Alive!

I will save spilling the gory details and just simply say that it has been one hell of a deep dark May through February, but life moves forward and there is light at the end of the tunnel. That I really think I can now see and yeah, I don’t think it’s a train this time. LOL. The good news is that I’ll have a new story out at the end of this year that’s going to be different from my other books. A military thriller with a slice of romance that I will write under the name J.L Saint. I started this story back in late 2000 to early 2001 then 9/11 happened and nobody would touch it. And I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally get the opportunity to write Collateral Damage. You can read the first three chapters here.

I would love your feedback and tell me what you think about this fantastic cover!

A Time to Remember, Honor, and Thank

This post is not meant to be a political statement, but only a realization that good and evil exist and battle in the world today, just like what I write about in my Shadowmen Series, good wars against murderous evil and the heroes and heroines are they only thing that keep the evil in check and good alive.

Today is a day to honor Warriors who have sacrificed everything to battle evil. Book 3 of the Shadowmen Series, Kiss of Darkness, is dedicated to all of those who serve in the armed forces. The hero of the book, though he has his reasons for being ex-military, in the very depth of his heart he is a warrior who will pay any price to battle evil and does.

The freedoms we have in America today were paid for by the blood, sweat, and sacrifice of those soldiers who were willing to give everything for us. The reality of this was brought to the very center of my heart by the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and the courageousness every man and woman who now serve and have served in the armed forces since America as a nation came into being. As I watched the towers burn and collapse that day with all the horror, hurt, and anger of it filling my heart, I knew that no matter what it took, I didn’t want to turn on the news twenty years from now and see the building where one of my children worked going up in flames because evil was allowed to reign unchecked.
