Hard Irish is available now!

Available Now!
Well, the Dog-days of summer bit my rear-end hard with health issues and all of my good intentions to have Hard Irish done by June 30th landed in the dust. The good news is that it is here now! As of Today you can get Book Three of the Weldon Brothers Series on Amazon Kindle. To celebrate this event, I am giving Wild Irish, Book One in the series, away free in the Free-Fall Free Partay giveaway from September 19 through the 20th. So, I hope you will take advantage of this sizzling hot offer. Go to Freepartay.com to see all of the great books you can get for free.LOL I made a pledge to write a little more frequently about my life’s events always ends up in my procrastination pile. I often ask myself, Does someone really want to hear this? I always feel as if I have to write something hugely interesting and worthwhile. But then, maybe I am making mountains out of anthills. So, I’m just going to plunge in head first and tell you what’s up, what my plans are, and share my writing dreams with you. And we’ll see how that goes, because surely.even after a ten hour workday, I should be able to say…something, if only just a query on the best foot massage machine out there.
Plans
I will soon be meeting with some highly creative ladies with huge hearts and a daring vision for the charity I am involved with. The Rising Phoenix Foundation currently supports The Shade Tree in Las Vegas Nevada and the Angels Of East Africa. So if you have a spare prayer or two, please ask God to financially bless these needy causes.
On a lighter note and to make a long story short, due to a suitcase mix-up, I had the opportunity to visit a movie set a while back and will be going to the TV set of a popular show this fall, so I am looking forward to that. Will post a picture or two if I can!
My current writing dreams are ambitious, but as I always say, shoot for the stars in the universe and you may end up with the moon! Things you can look forward to are:
Aerik the Enternal:Point of No Return by Jennifer St. Giles Book One of the Crimson Thorn Series.
Unleash the Past by Jennifer St. Giles Book One of the Blackshadow Bodyguards Series
Cocktail Cove by Jennifer Saints Book One of the Southern Steam Series
Bewitching the Wolf, Book Five of the Shadowmen Series.
And a the first in the Covenant Conspiracies, a Steampunk Series.
The only way any book gets written in one day at a time, one page at a time, so wish me well, I am so eager to finish all of these stories.
Now for an excerpt from HARD IRISH:
The world wouldn’t end if he kissed her again. Tonight. All she had to do was walk down the stairs…
Rocky didn’t give herself time to question. She put her feet in motion and tip-toed downstairs, though marching would have fit her mood better. She was still sane enough to consider that he might have taken pain medication and might be asleep. Rounding the corner into the living room, she found the couch empty and searched the shadows for Jared, then gasped.
He stood at the French doors, looking at the backyard. He wore only a pair of form fitting boxer briefs and the hard-shelled boot strapped to his leg. His crutches were back at the couch, so he’d already gone against his brother’s advice to keep weight off of his injury. Somehow that didn’t surprise her.
What did take her breath away was the sight of him. Every lean inch of him was honed and tanned to perfection. He dropped the curtain and turned to face her. His broad shoulders and rippled abs made her weak in the knees, but it was the want in his gaze that did her in. It was as raw and edgy as her need, only sharper.
The hungry predator had found his juicy prey. Had she actually thought she could share another roll-on-the-floor rock-her-world kiss and escape unscathed?
Rethink time. “I came to see if you’re all right.” She moved over to the couch and picked up his crutches, planning to take them to him. “You should be using these.”
He didn’t wait, but moved her way—faster than she thought possible. He reached her. “They’d only be in the way of this.”
She didn’t have a chance to breathe before he caught her in his arms and planted his mouth on hers, instantly hot and demanding. She opened to him, meeting the thrust of his tongue with hers, groaning deep from within as her starving senses found succor for her every want. His tongue tangled with hers, leading her in a seductive dance unlike any other.
He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tight against his supple heat and burning erection. She pressed her palms to his chest, half thinking to stem the flooding tide, but then went crazy in a quest to feel and know his every contour. His muscles rippled as he shuddered at her touch.

Interview with Tim Parrish from NBC’s Love in the Wild Season Two!
Watch the Premiere of NBC’S Love in the Wild Tonight on NBC from 9–11!
Why is this romance writer writing about LOVE IN THE WILD?
Two reasons. First, because love and fun is what romance is all about. And season two of LOVE IN THE WILD looks to be full of both. Second, because one of the men starring in LOVE IN THE WILD is on the cover of my upcoming book, COCKTAIL COVE. In this author’s opinion, Tim Parrish makes this cover a very beautiful thing. I’ll share more about the story later. Today we have the special treat of hearing from Tim!
JENNI: What are the best things about growing up in Wisconsin and living in Chicago?
TIM: Growing up in Wisconsin was great because the neighborhoods I lived in had a lot of my friends in them or close by and were pretty safe for kids. We had parks basically in my backyard that we were always playing sports in and just having good fun. The move to Chicago in 2004 was a bit of a shock coming from smaller to medium town living to big city living. This city always has stuff going on and more to offer as it pertains to entertainment, restaurants and opportunities. It’s been pretty good to me for the most part, although I w
JENNI: Real estate man, actor, model, personal trainer, comic and independent contractor. Tell us about what brought you to these career choices.
TIM: I like the spice of life. Why make money doing one thing when you can spice up the variety of your days, meet people across different industries and have fun doing it. I love the creative side of things so I gravitate more towards those career choices.
Southernism’s What Say You?
Sometimes there is no better or funnier way to say something than to repeat a phrase from the past. Whether that phase is one of wisdom and instruction, a humorous look at human behavior or both, they just bear repeating and thus become the very heart of a culture or a flag of distinction that sets a certain sect of the population apart from the general melding pot of American Life.
Southernisms—those little sayings in the South that capture moments of life—are an unforgettable snapshot of wisdom and humor and deserve to be kept alive. For those of you who are unsure about what a Southernism is, let me give you some examples that will hopefully tickle your funny-bone.
“Butter me up and call me a biscuit.”
“The engine’s runnin’ but nobody’s driving.”
“You look like you’ve been rode hard and put away wet.”
“You can’t ride two horses with one ass.”
“Lyin’ like a legless dog.”
I didn’t realize how much Southern I had in me until, I started writing the Weldon Brothers Series– about southern bad boys of Irish descent who grew up on a farm in Savannah Georgia, and my upcoming Southern Steam Series (See Covers Below). As I put the words on the page not only did Southernisms begin to color my story, but also a southern-rich view of home and family began to flavor the stories, adding both humor and heart.

Coming this Winter
Here is a sample Southernism from my latest release Hard Irish:
Rocky rounded the front of her pick-up and headed his way. “Let me help,” she said as he pulled out the clothes-filled overnight bag Jackson had given him, along with a pair of crutches. He wore a polo shirt and cargo shorts that he borrowed from Jackson, his jeans and shirt too bloodied and stained to wear.
“I got it,” Jared muttered. Even though he had an immobilizing boot strapped to his foot, Jackson still wanted Jared to keep weight off his foot until a radiologist read the x-ray—which wouldn’t happen until sometime tomorrow. It had been the final coffin-nail in Jared’s hero to the rescue illusions. Now he was an invalid on her doorstep.
Still, he wasn’t willing to call it quits. He knew if push came to shove there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do to assure her safety. It was the whole image thing that left him floundering.
“We have a problem.” Her hand on his stopped him in his stubborn-tracks. He shifted his balance, leaning back against the truck frame to stop and face her. Less than a foot away from him and just a few inches shy of his six-three, she nearly met him eye-level. The thought a making love to a woman who matched him so nicely physically, hit his hot button.
“What?” He didn’t pull his hand away, but forced himself to stay still and enjoy the heat of her touch despite the irritation in her gaze.
“If you can’t put common sense ahead of ego, then we’re going to go more than just toe-to-toe. Ask yourself, if the roles were reversed what would make sense. You carrying my bag up a few steps while I maneuvered on crutches, or I—”
“Be as stubborn as a blue-nosed mule and insist on doing it yourself.” A reluctant grin tugged on Jared’s lips. He liked the idea of going toe to toe, leg to leg, hip to hip, chest to chest, mouth to mouth, and everything else possible to her everything. In every way. “Are you calling me a blue-nosed mule?”
Rocky arched a brow, humor making her clover-green eyes even brighter. Jared smiled and slid his gaze slowly over her.
“Not at all. Myself.”
She took the bag from him and focused on his nose. “If the ring fits…”
“Ouch!” He tried to pretend outrage but ended up laughing. She did too, chasing the last bit of shadows that had been lingering in her expression since he’d met her. She glowed. It was a beautiful thing. The only look he could imagine as being better was ecstasy. He shook his head. “You’re a hard Irish woman, Roxanne McKenna.
Just as there are Southernisms, I know there are Northernisms and Westernisms as well. I’d love to hear about your favorite “isms.” Either comment them here or on my website at jenniferstgiles.com, or twitter them and include @jenniferstgiles #Southernisms . I’ll be giving away five copies of Hard Irish to those who make me laugh!
Meanwhile, down on the farm, I hope you get the chance to enjoy a taste of the south with the Weldon Series and Southern Steam Series.

Come share your journey to making your dreams com true.
Hello Friends,
Lots happening! It’s that time of the year where we are scrambling to finish all of the things we promised ourselves that we would accomplish this year in that New Year’s resolution we made just yesterday, wasn’t it? Seems like it. I promise I am writing as quickly as I can sanely do. The problem with writing is it is so much a solitary endeavor that so much of life passes by while I’m creating a world and lives, and love upon the page. Finding a balance to that and living real life while also working a day job isn’t easy.
I wish I could wave a magic wand and all of the stories bubbling in my heart would appear upon the page! But then how much of the journey to making my dreams come true would I miss? We often hear that it isn’t the dream, but the journey to the dream that makes life worthwhile. So as we struggle to making our dreams come true, let’s remember to take a moment to enjoy it all and to share with others as well.
Today on http://whinesisters.com/2012/11/13/are-we-chasing-mavericks-or-are-we-journeying-on-a-road-to-living-our-dreams-and-feeling-alive/ I talk about the journey to our dreams. Come share with me! And you can get a peek at the book I am currently writing. Aerik the Eternal: Point of No Return. Book One in my Crimson Thorn Series.
Then on Wednesday and Thursday I will be taking part in a Thanksgiving Free Partay Extravaganza! Lots of free books by great authors so go to Freepartay.com and stock up on books for the winter.
Join me for the fun!
Happy Reading and Remember Every day to Dream, Believe, Create, Inspire, Love, Heal!
